I am a stay at home mom to two beautiful spirited girls, at 4 and 2 years old their babywearing days are growing less frequent all the time. Babywearing is in my blood…my parents used a snuggli to continue on with their life when my brother and I were little; and my husband and I use all types of carriers now that we are parents. My oldest was a high needs baby and both girls were worn from day one. We started with a Maya ring sling and quickly moved on to Mei Tai’s, pouches, buckle carriers and wraps. I found out late in my babywearing days with my oldest, that I’m a wrapper, and that my youngest at six months was no longer a wrap fan. We have used our Ergo so much it needs to be replaced!
I co-lead the Lake County Babywearers and teach babywearing classes because babywearing has been instrumental in my parenting and I want everyone to reap the amazing benefits of wearing their baby while skipping as much frustration as possible!
My name is Danica Osborn and I am a Special Educator and certified Musical Therapist. I am also a mother of two—Claire (4 yrs.) and Leah (6 mos.)—they are my pride and joy!!!
I have been teaching music classes to children in the area for over three years now, and I absolutely love it! It is so fun seeing new minds exploring, learning, and playing. I find it is so rewarding to observe parents and children interacting, and exposing new babies and toddlers to stimulating music, stories, and activities.
I always love meeting new people, and having new friends join our classes. Parents/caregivers and children of all ages are always sure to have a positive experience in New Mother New Baby’s music classes! Come join us for a great time!
Jerry has had the privilege of being a stay at home dad for the last three years to his kids Lucas (5 years old), Eve (3 years old), and Sarah (8 months old, when this was written in November 2010!. Part time Jerry runs a one man company called Catholic Media Resources that does various speaker and internet based projects. His professional experience included being a parish minister, high school teacher, and dispute resolution specialist for check cards at a bank call center. Having received certification from the national training center, he’s been facilitating Boot Camps for over a year and is grateful for the opportunity to see dozens of men change their first diaper, feed their first baby, and grow a lot more confident in being engaged fathers from day one.

Hi! I’m Nikki. I have been married to my wonderful husband Matt for 5 years now and we have Carter who is 2 1/2 and Marie who is 1 1/2. I stay home with them and love my job! I have been using cloth diapers since Carter was just a few weeks old. I am currently in training with the Real Diaper Association. Besides my love for my kids and cloth diapers, I love to bake and sew (when I have time!). I make cakes that have been compared to ‘Ace of Cakes’. I enjoy quilting and have just started to sew dresses for my daughter. I hope to meet you in a cloth diaper class or in one of our cloth diaper circle meetings.
