Increasing your Milk Supply
Here are some tips to help increase your milk supply. Milk supply increases slowly, sometimes by just 5-10 millileters per 24 hours. Just remember, the more you take out, the more you make. Renting a scale can be a good idea if you are not sure how much your baby is getting at the breast and you need to supplement with your milk or formula so you are not guessing. I find this can be very helpful, even though many health care professionals think it can stress the mom out, it actually does just the opposite for many of my moms. Contact your IBCLC to see if this is a good idea for you.
