About Jill

Jill Rabin is a pediatric speech pathologist and international board-certified lactation consultant who has been working with the 0- to 3-year-old population since 1986. She specializes in working with complex breastfeeding dyads and at-risk babies whose diagnosis may include prematurity, Down syndrome, babies with cleft palate and tongue-ties. She also works with babies with feeding aversion. She co-moderates a free monthly support group through the Massachusetts Down Syndrome Congress for pregnant, pumping and breastfeeding babies with Down syndrome.

Jill works with neurotypical and neurodivergent babies in transitioning to solids using a baby-led weaning approach and teaches a monthly live virtual transition to solids class through New Mother New Baby. Jill co-authored a book called Your Baby Can Self-Feed, Too! with Gill Rapley, the pioneer of the baby-led weaning approach. The book is about Jill’s approach which is called Adapted Baby-Led Weaning® and it teaches parents how to use the size, shape and texture of foods therapeutically to assist babies with feeding challenges to transition to solids. Jill lectures nationally and internationally on adapted baby-led weaning, managing complicated breastfeeding dyads and managing feeding aversion.
