The Lactation Network
About The Lactation Network The Lactation Network (TLN) is a national provider of insurance-covered lactation care delivered by International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLCs). They provide lactation support via lactation consultations to families in need of care. TLN is the largest network of IBCLCs in the United States, and helps them provide the gold-standard of lactation care. TLN is building inclusive, tech-forward healthcare systems designed to remove barriers to access, dismantle stigmas and support all parents so they and their families can thrive. Aetna
We are in-network with Aetna. If you have insurance through Aetna we will bill Aetna directly on your behalf. They usually provide coverage for 3-6 visits. This can be a combination of prenatal, initial consultations and follow up visits. If you have any questions, please call our office at 847-272-1500 and our office manager will assist you. If you go ahead and schedule, someone from our office will give you a call.
Blue Cross Blue Shield
Through a partnership with The Lactation Network, those with BCBS PPO insurance plans are typically covered for 6 visits or more if needed at 100% coverage. To confirm your coverage through The Lactation Network, you can complete a short form by clicking on the link below. Anthem Blue Cross
Through a partnership with The Lactation Network, those with Anthem Blue Cross Insurance Plans are typically covered for 6 visits or more if needed at at 100% coverage. United Health Care
We are in-network with United Health Care (UHC). If you have insurance through UHC we will bill UHC directly on your behalf. They usually provide coverage for up to 6 visits or more if indicated. This can be a combination of prenatal, initial consultations and follow up visits. If you have any questions, please call our office at 847-272-1500 and our office manager will assist you. If you go ahead and schedule, someone from our office will give you a call.
UMR
Through a partnership with The Lactation Network, those with UMR insurance plans are typically covered for unlimited visits at 100% coverage. To confirm your coverage through The Lactation Network, please complete this form. The Lactation Network will then email you (typically within 1 business day) to confirm your coverage.
Cigna
Through a partnership with The Lactation Network, some Cigna plans will be covered. We are not in network with Cigna. We will assist you in anyway we can to get you covered. In some instances, you may need to pay up front, we will give you a superbill and Cigna will reimburse you directly. We advise you ask them to send you a form to submit your claim and get a reference number for the call.
Optum Serve VA CCN
Through a partnership with The Lactation Network, those with Optum Serve VA CCN insurance plans are typically covered for unlimited visits at 100% coverage.
