Becoming a mother changes everything — your body, your sleep, your confidence, your world. And while it is beautiful, it can also feel tender and overwhelming. There is something so comforting about being with other new moms who truly understand this season.

Our 5-week New Moms Group begins March 2nd, and for 17 years it has been one of the most meaningful experiences for the families I work with. We talk about feeding, sleep, going back to work, tummy time — and all the emotions in between. But what moms tell me they love most is the connection and reassurance they didn’t even realize they needed.

If you’ve been thinking about joining, I encourage you not to wait. ✨

If you’re craving a comforting space where you can ask questions, feel understood, and build new mom friendships, I would love to welcome you.

✨ Spots are limited — join us for this next session beginning March 2nd.

The class will meet in Pollack Room B of the Northbrook Public Library on Wednesdays starting March 2nd, 2026from 1:00PM - 2:30PM

Instructor is Gail Macklin BSN RN IBCLC

Great class
Written by Kelly Jacobson on 6th Aug 2024

This was the first place I went on my own with my then 6 week old. It provided me the confidence and safe space to talk with other new moms and share tips and tricks we’ve found along the way. It was especially nice to not feel alone, and my baby loved it too!

Best new mom class!
Written by Katie DiValerio on 23rd Jul 2024

I took this class 5 years ago when I had my first daughter and it was a lifesaver during a very difficult time. I made so many friends from this class and really look forward to starting it again with my second due soon. It's a great way to support yourself when you have a new baby!

A life-changing experience
Written by Jessica Verne on 13th Jan 2019

This class changed my life in the best possible way. I gained friendships, wisdom, and confidence as a new mom. Lesley is such a sweet soul and guided us all with respect and compassion. I’ll never forget this amazing 6 weeks of my life and although it’s such a vulnerable period, having the love and support of the women at New Mother New Baby and the fellow moms in my class made all the difference. I can’t recommend this class enough!

Worth Every Penny!
Written by Breanne Garcia on 6th Dec 2018

As a new mom, the first 6 weeks I was really struggling emotionally. I googled mommy groups because I knew I needed to get out of the house. I’m very shy and meeting new people is very hard for me but I knew for my sanity I needed to connect with others going through what I was going through. This group gave me exactly what I needed: a chance to get out of the house, meet wonderful ladies and their new babies, an expert in all things babies to ask questions (Gail was an amazing instructor) and a group of ladies to continue a friendship even after the group was over! Everyone was so open and nonjudgmental! I would recommend this class to any new or even second time mommies!

I’ve done this group twice now (one for each child) and love it! Great way to meet fellow moms. I recommend it to every new mom I know!

Best Thing I Did as a New Mom!
Written by Lori on 7th Apr 2013

Excellent class, highly recommended. New Mother New Baby has a great atmosphere with excellent people. This is a laid back yet informative group. Taking a class with other new moms was exactly what I needed, and I think I made some lifelong friends in the process.

Great way to meet a group of women experiencing everything at the same time as you
Written by Tracey on 2nd Aug 2012

This class is well worth the cost! It served as an excellent support group of women going through the same thing and bouncing ideas and experiences off each other. It's a very open non-judgmental environment and an excellent way to get tips and ask questions you may not feel comfortable asking others. We've even continued the group on our own after the formal class session. I highly recommend it.
